A recent survey from digital asset exchange KuCoin have shown that Web3 aficionados who have yet to work in the industry are highly interested to explore blockchain-related career opportunities.
The participants cited flexibility, growth potential, and the future outlook of the developing space as the main allure of the industry.
The study “Journey Into Web3: A Global Study on the Future of Work” explores the engagement and perception of those working in Web3. According to the study, researchers discovered that more than half of their surveyed respondents, which comprised of 3,608 Twitter and LinkedIn users aware of Web3, have expressed interest in exploring Web3 as a potential career.
Apart from gauging interest in Web3 opportunities, the researchers also looked at the aspects of the Web3 that draw people in. When asked what they like about Web3 careers, survey participants cited benefits such as room for growth and innovation and work flexibility.

Younger people tend to find appeal in Web3 careers, given that 59% of the respondents are 30 years old or below. Over half of the respondents that are currently working in the Web3 space are satisfied with their careers.
One of the reasons for the interest in the industry suggests an optimistic future for the field. A report by Boston Consulting Group on July 22 made a prediction that, by 2030, the crypto space will reach 1 billion users. This implies that the Web3 space is still in its early stage when compared to the trajectory of internet adoption.
In June, an investing firm investigated the millennials’ investing preferences. According to a United States survey, there are more millennials investing in cryptocurrencies than in mutual funds, which shows that the younger group of investors is more open to nascent investment opportunities.
