Trezor has launched new crypto hardware wallets. Among the products unveiled is the Safe 3 wallet, which boasts a tamper-resistant hardware component for added protection. Trezor also introduced the Keep Metal, a corrosion-resistant stainless steel accessory designed for securely storing recovery seed phrases.
“Trezor, the original hardware wallet company, today launches three stylish, intuitive and affordable tools aimed at helping crypto newcomers and novices on their journey to self-custody. The line-up of products consists of the Trezor Safe 3, an easy-to-use, secure hardware wallet available in four striking colours; the Trezor Keep Metal, the mistake-proof, convenient backup solution for your recovery seed, available in three variants; and, in celebration of Trezor’s 10-year anniversary, the limited edition Trezor Safe 3 Bitcoin only, which as the name suggests keeps custody solely of the original cryptocurrency,” the company said in a statement.
The Safe 3 wallet supports a range of cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, ether, and approximately 7,000 others. Despite its unassuming appearance, resembling a keyring with a minimalist design and two buttons, this wallet is a robust solution for safeguarding digital assets.
With less than 2% of the estimated 420 million global crypto users opting for self-custody, the company aims to provide a sense of security and peace of mind to those venturing into the crypto space.
CEO Matěj Žák emphasized that the goal is to empower crypto novices and newcomers by enabling them to independently manage and protect their digital holdings. As part of this release, Trezor has also launched a BTC-only version of the Safe 3 wallet, aligning with the prevalent desire among users to exclusively store bitcoin on their hardware wallets.
In response to the increasing concerns about seed phrase security, Trezor’s Keep Metal offers a robust solution. This stainless steel tube features 24 alphabet tables, allowing users to imprint their recovery seed words for enhanced memory aid.
