Tokens.com recently announced that Hulk Labs — a subsidiary aimed at making strategic investments in utility driven NFTs and Play-to-Earn (P2E) games — has formed a play-to-earn partnership with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
They will be working with several entities and universities in the DRC to scout and train a group of players to partake in the P2E gaming economy.
Moreover, Tokens.com will be deploying P2E assets to this network of players in the country so that they may use them to play top P2E games owned by Tokens.com and Hulk Labs.
Tokens.com and Hulk Labs plan to work with several local entities and universities within the DRC to identify and train a group of players to participate in the play-to-earn gaming economy. These assets will always be in the custody of Tokens.com. Local DRC players will be permitted to use the assets and be paid commission for playing with the assets that are designated to them.
“We believe play-to-earn gaming is one of the first truly global applications of cryptocurrency – and has the potential to onboard the next billion users onto the blockchain. We are excited to work with the Democratic Republic of Congo to train a team of players to participate in this new and exciting economy”
Deven Soni, President of Hulk Labs and COO of Tokens.com
This effort is officially supported by the DRC government, who will be supplying drop-in facilities with good internet availability and other local resources in order to support Hulk Labs and the network of players.
In accordance to the terms, the DRC will be Tokens.com’s exclusive P2E partner for the next 36 months.
