Tesla, the manufacturer of electronic vehicles, is releasing a new futuristic-themed Cybertruck series-inspired Cyberwhistle, according to Wednesday’s new product catalog.
“Inspired by Cybertruck, the limited-edition Cyberwhistle is a premium collectible made from medical-grade stainless steel with a polished finish. The whistle includes an integrated attachment feature for added versatility,” the company wrote.
Products are scheduled to ship within 4 to 6 weeks, and all sales are final. Additionally, Tesla mandates that all payments be made in Dogecoin (DOGE). At the time of the news, it costs about $60, or 1,000 DOGE. The DOGE pricing includes taxes and shipping.
According to Tesla, some of the products at the present only accept Dogecoin as payment. Similar to other digital asset transactions, incorrect payment amounts or asset types submitted to its address will not be reimbursed or reversed. For users to purchase Tesla products, a Dogecoin wallet is required.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been a vocal advocate for the meme currency, declaring that “Dogecoin is better than Bitcoin” when it comes to payments last year.
In May, SpaceX started following Tesla’s footstep by also accepting Dogecoin as a viable mode of payment.
After a $258 billion suit filed against a crypto Ponzi scheme relating to the token, the billionaire tech investor has increased his support of DOGE and declared that he will not stop supporting Dogecoin.
