Multinational technology and hardware manufacturer Nvidia is stepping up its efforts to establish its presence in the Metaverse — by introducing a new range of metaverse-based developer tools, such as artificial intelligence capabilities, simulations, and other creative assets.
The latest upgrades will be available to creators using the Omniverse Kit, as well as apps like Nucleus, Machinima, and Audio2Face.
Based on Nvidia’s statement, the tools’ primary function is to enhance the building of “accurate digital twins and realistic avatars.”
Omniverse Avatar Cloud Engine (ACE) is included in the new Nvidia toolkit. According to the developers, ACE would enhance “virtual assistants and digital humans” building environments.
The major focus of the update in the Audio2Face app is the digital identity. Users are able to control the expressions of digital avatars over time, including full-face animation, according to Nvidia.
Moreover, Nvidia PhysX, an “advanced real-time engine for simulating realistic physics”, is another program included in the Nvidia update. Developers are able to incorporate realistic responses to physics-based metaverse interactions.
So far, NVIDIA’s AI technology has been a core element in virtual spaces for social interactions. More so now with the firm releasing new programs that improve the experience of metaverse.
