Pudgy Penguins made the announcement through a tweet, proclaiming, “On this day, Web3 enters a Brave New World. Pudgy Toys, with Pudgy World, are now available in 2,000 Walmarts in the USA.”
Each Pudgy Toy comes with a distinctive birth certificate, enabling users to claim unique attributes for their digital “Forever Pudgy” character within Pudgy World. This virtual realm exists online and operates on the zkSync Era blockchain, and users can access it by simply scanning a QR code.
“When we acquired Pudgy Penguins last April, we told our community we were going to be the brand that brings blockchain to the masses. Walmart, being the largest retailer in the United States and the world’s top revenue-generating company in 2022, will now feature Pudgy Toys plushies and collectibles alongside established consumer brands.
