Jason Kelley, General Manager of blockchain services at IBM, said the global tech giant is ready to work with Facebook on Libra.
The IBM executive told CNBC that the company is looking to support collaboration across business sectors, especially those working on blockchain.
IBM has its own blockchain technology that makes various activities and processes more transparent, especially those in the banking and logistics industries.
Kelley had no comments on whether IBM will join Libra Association as a member, but also mentioned that IBM’s current focus is on tokenization, and not cryptocurrency. He said that tokenization enables the digitization of any asset, including traditional fiat currencies, stocks and commodities.
