Huobi Financial Inc., otherwise known as “Huobi”, has recently passed the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) assessment and received the PCI DSS certification.
Formed in 2004 by Visa, MasterCard, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, and American Express, PCI DSS is established to secure credit and debit card transactions against data theft and fraud. It is one of the world’s most strictest and highest-level security certifications for financial institutions.
PCI certification is considered the best practice for the safeguarding of sensitive data and information, thereby helping us build long-lasting and trusting relationships with our customers. In order to obtain the certification, Huobi has to pass a comprehensive review of 12 requirements and more than 200 assessments based on the PCI DSS standards.

In order for one to receive such certification, they will need to go through a set of requirements which include security practices like installation of firewalls, use of anti-virus software, and encryption of data transmissions. Moreover, they must monitor access to network resources and restrict access to cardholder data.
After the acquisition of the certification, Huobi has enhanced its card binding process to improve card information security. Users will also be able to spot a PCI logo on the card binding interface when buying crypt assets.
