Dapper Labs’ previously mentioned NFT platform based on the LaLiga Spanish soccer league will debut in closed beta later in the month, in the wake of NBA Top Shot and NFL All Day.
The LaLiga Golazos marketplace will be available to certain users and release its initial bundle on October 27. Both Top Shot and All Day ran lengthy closed beta tests with a steadily growing user base before launching to the general public.
LaLiga Golazos, similar to other sports products, will offer NFT collectibles in a form of video highlights transformed into assets resembling trading cards. The partnership between Dapper and LaLiga was initially announced in September 2021, with the platform’s launch originally scheduled for this past summer.
The “golazos” in the name LaLiga Golazos, which literally means “spectacular goal” in Spanish, will offer bilingual NFTs that feature play-by-play commentary, player statistics, and match summaries in both English and Spanish. This marks the first fully bilingual NFT product from Dapper. The platform’s collectibles will cover notable league moments from 2005 to the present.
Moments from famous LaLiga competitions like El Clásico (FC Barcelona vs. Real Madrid CF), the Madrid Derby (Real Madrid CF vs. Atlético de Madrid), the El Gran Derbi (Real Betis vs Sevilla FC), and the Basque Derby (Real Sociedad vs. Athletic Club) will be included in the first digital pack of NFT collectibles, and is expected to be published on October 27.
