Blockchain security company CertiK revealed that it has received $37 million for its Series B funding round, co-led by Coatue Management and Shunwei Capital and participated by Coinbase Ventures.
The funds will be used in the expansion of CertiK’s product and security capabilities for the cryptocurrency and DeFi industries.

A partner at Coatue Management, Kai Jiang, highlighted the increasing importance of blockchain security as DeFi experiences tremendous growth over the last 18 months.
CertiK’s Skynet platform has gained some popularity, having monitored over 2 million smart contract addresses and over 2 billion on-chain transactions. The platform utilizes on-chain and off-chain data to provide real-time insights into the security status of DeFi applications.
CertiK has successfully raised $48 million since 2018, making it one of the most highly funded blockchain security companies in the industry. Notable backers include IDG Capital, Binance, Yale University and Lightspeed Venture.
