The world’s leading cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, has just announced the launch of its first peer-to-peer trading service for the Vietnamese Dong (VND). According to the report, from 20th January 2020, Binance users in Vietnam can directly purchase and sell BTC, ETH, USDT, and BNB in VND via the latest versions of the Binance mobile app on iOS and Android.
Vietnam Dong is the second fiat currency accepted on Binance’s P2P trading platform after the Chinese Yuan (CNY).
Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said in the press release:
“Binance is committed to providing our global users with more convenient fiat gateways and easy access to cryptocurrency, and our P2P service aims to lower the barriers to entry to the crypto world. We are pleased to introduce fiat-to-crypto P2P trading services to Vietnamese users to flexibly trade cryptocurrency at low costs.”
CZ also emphasized Binance’s ambition to deploy the service in 180 countries to achieve its mission of “freedom of money”.
Recently, Binance also announced that they will hold their 2nd Blockchain Week in Ho Chi Minh City– Vietnam from February 29th to March 4th, 2020. Changpeng Zhao will attend this Blockchain Week along with Binance’s key members and team leaders. So far, Vietnam has no legal framework for cryptocurrencies and cryptocurrency transactions.
