Crypto exchange Binance has announced the appointment of Rachel Conlan to the role of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Conlan, who previously served as the Vice President of Global Marketing, will now take on the responsibility of leading global initiatives aimed at strengthening Binance’s partnerships and collaborations with online influencers, with the goal of expanding the web3 ecosystem, Binance said in an official announcement.
Rachel Conlan brings with her a wealth of experience, having previously served as the Global Head of Brands and Partnerships at the crypto exchange OKX and as the Global Chief Marketing Ops Officer at the public relations firm Havas, according to her LinkedIn profile.
“Rachel has demonstrated that she is a strong leader who leads with integrity and users top of mind. She is quick on her feet and able to look at challenges and opportunities with diverse perspectives that account for different aspects of the business,” shared Binance Co-Founder Yi He.
Binance also highlighted several other recent key appointments, including Eleanor Hughes as General Counsel, Kristen Hecht as Deputy Chief Compliance Officer and Global Money Laundering Officer, Min Lin as Head of Latin America, and Richard Teng as Head of Regional Markets.
This announcement came on the heels of reports by The Block that Binance.US president and CEO Brian Shroer had departed the American arm of the crypto trading giant, coinciding with a broader wave of layoffs within the organization.
