SOS Limited has entered into a Hosting Agreement with Bitmain that will add 6000 units of hosting mining rigs. SOS has so far launched over 5,000 of its mining rigs in its Texas, Hosting Center. Additional 6,000 units will be delivered in 2 batches of 3,000 units each, the company said in a statement.
“We are pleased with the expansion of our North American operations so far. In addition to increases in our own mining revenues, this Agreement will generate monthly revenues of more than $1 million,” Yandai Wang, CEO and Chairman of SOS, commented.
SOS is an emerging blockchain-based service solution provider. It is also active in cryptocurrency mining and is planning to expand into cryptocurrency security.
Bitmain is the world’s leading manufacturer of digital currency mining servers under its brand ANTMINER. It has long maintained a global market share and leading position in technology, serving customers across over 100 countries and regions. The company has subsidiaries in China, the United States, Singapore, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, and other locations.
In December 2022, crypto asset management company Matrixport was reportedly planning to delist Solana and Solana-U dual currency investment products. Matrixport’s founder Jihan Hu is the co-founder of Bitmain, Bitcoin mining hardware giant. In the aftermath of FTX’s collapse, Solana’s price had fallen by over 90%.
