Cross-chain platform Axelar and Polygon have joined forces to provide safer cross-chain communications to Polygon Supernets.
According to the company, Axelar’s collaboration with Polygon will provide the framework for an interconnected network of dedicated Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) blockchains that are driven by Polygon Edge.
Sergey Gorbunov, the CEO and co-founder of Axelar, stated that this relationship is crucial to the Web3 ecosystem since the sector necessitates the expansion from thousands to millions of developers.
Gorbunov added that the Web3 ecosystem would benefit from the collaboration between Axelar and Polygon because “Ethereum ecosystem developers will now be given access to features and users on the number of connected chains Axelar has incorporated. Because of this, developers are allowed to create dApps that can draw in hundreds of millions of users.
The CEO stated that, alongside the developers, new users will also gain the most benefits from this collaboration. They may join into those dApps carrying their existing tokens, wallets, and Web3 identities – without having to bridge or exchange via different interfaces, he said.
In order to provide cross-chain connectivity for developers using General Message Passing and to push the potential of a so-called super DApp, Axelar and Mysten Labs, the infrastructure startup behind the Sui blockchain, partnered with Axelar in September.
