Metaverse XR Co., Ltd. and Huawei Thailand have agreed to collaborate on the development of Metaverse AR/VR/XR solutions to support enterprise services for both domestic and global startups.
The two companies have officially signed an MOU to create and develop virtual reality technologies such as AR, VR, and XR, as well as Huawei Cloud-based metaverse solutions, to support the Thai and global markets.
Furthermore, they hope to increase the commercial use of metaverse AR, VR, and XR.
According to the joint statement, the two companies are working together to create a 5G cloud gaming system, beginning with the world’s first virtual Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) e-sports game on Huawei Cloud and XR open-world games that use GPS positioning technology to improve player experience.
Metaverse XR CEO Satien Boonmanunt said that the Metaverse market is now growing at a compound annual rate of more than 45%, with AR/XR clear glasses playing a key role in driving the market.
This has resulted in the creation of thousands of new jobs and thousands of new startups that are rapidly expanding.
“Therefore, we see this as a good business opportunity. We are ready to create new solutions to improve the efficiency of enterprises and startups in Thailand and around the world to grow rapidly and sustainably, thanks to our wide range of advanced technologies and skilled personnel, as well as Huawei’s powerful infrastructure,” said Metaverse XR CEO.
Benson Qin, Chief Executive Officer of Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd.’s Cloud Business Division, stated that the collaboration between Huawei and Metaverse XR will bring new experiences to the Thai entertainment industry and other business sectors in the coming years.
“It will become more relevant in other industries such as retail, education, and medicine in the future. Currently, Huawei is preparing to develop the necessary technology and is committed to designing the processing architecture to support the physical and digital worlds, which will completely converge,” said Benson. “We will enter a fully digital world.”
