Decentralized Finance (DeFi) platform Umbria will be giving out 100,000 governance tokens to their users– the first airdrop of its UMBR token.
Umbria is an open source project that enables DeFi applications on the Ethereum blockchain and strives to make DeFi easier to grasp for everyone.
UMBR or UMBR-ETH Liquidity Pool token holders, with a minimum of 100 UMBR or 2 UMBR-ETH LP on hand, on March 1, 2021 are eligible for the airdrop. A Metamask wallet is required as well.
In order to participate, they will need to visit ”airdrop.umbria.network” and click on “Claim Airdrop” to receive their share of the airdrop. It will automatically be sent to their Metamask wallets on April 2, 2021. Ethereum Smart Contracts will be the facilitator of the airdrop.
“The Umbria project is a collective effort, which is already gaining good traction and seeing a lot of interest,” said the co-lead developer of Umbria, Oscar Chambers. “This first airdrop is a great way to reward existing participants and encourage more early adoption of Umbria, which will hopefully be a stepping stone to unlocking the mass adoption of DeFi.”
In the near future, Umbria users can look forward to swapping tokens and earning interest on their cryptocurrency positions on the platform with other facilities that are going online that make use of the Umbria protocol and its utility token.
UMBR tokens hold the power in molding how the Umbria protocol takes form in the future.
